Rainbow Weaver Events
11th
March, The ROSE THEATRE - Kingston Town Centre.
In partnership with
Kingston Music and Art Service (KMAS) The Rainbow Weaver has been chosen for
inclusion in the Primary Curriculum via National Drama workshops.
As part of a large
teachers conference, demonstrations took place place in the theatre
throughout the day including an appearance by Skylight the Sprite
(Tippi!)

6th March,
World Book Day
Tippi and Lyndsay joined a panel of authors at Hackney Museum. Audience of 100 teachers and
practitioners - Event organised by The Learning Trust. (Borough educational
service for East London)
7th
March, The Contemporary Textile Fairs
Lyndsay judged a book
competition at The Contemporary Textile Fairs at the gothic Landmark Arts
Centre, Teddington. Signed books of The Rainbow Weaver were purchased, and
a prize of The Rainbow Weaver and CD for the creator of the visitor’s
favourite tactile book for the blind.
8th
March, The Glade, Victoria Park - Hackney
In conjunction with
Victoria Books in Park Road, A TREASURE HUNT! Participants looked for the
paper sprites in the glade, and won a prize…

Lyndsay conducted two
school workshops in Mile End to school children.

Borders Kingston hosted a
FUN-DAY to introduce our customers to the magical world of the Rainbow
Weaver....
There were activities and storytime in
the children's' department.
Borders is located at:

Friday 14th September
at 7pm - Borders Kingston
Borders Kingston hosted the official
launch of the Rainbow Weaver.
In one week, 126 books were sold
at Borders in Kingston. Both the store and Oldcastle Books (the publishers)
are delighted with the success. Meanwhile, Here's picture of the Saturday
Fun Day. The first pictures are of the launch which was on Friday 14th
September.
The book was
introduced by Borders, the publishers of Oldcastle Books gave a speech,
followed by Tippi's Headmaster, and a reading from the authors.

October 11am to 5pm - Waterstones Kingston.
Rainbow Weaver Fun Day
The Rainbow
Weaver party was a first day of half term celebration at Waterstones, on Saturday 20th October third floor Bentalls Centre Kingston.
The Fun Day activities will ran from 11am - 5pm with children dressed in fancy dress - beautiful
sprites, wicked goblins, rainbow coloured clothes and everything magical!
There was
games and readings, book signings etc. plus face painting by pretty sprites
from The Rainbow Trust children's charity. The Fancy Dress Competition was followed by storytelling and
book signing by the authors.
Saturday 27th October Waterstones, Bentalls
Centre
Halloween Fun Day Rainbow Weaver event was
held at Waterstones, Bentall Centre in Kingston. The event was held
from 11am-4pm with many children in fancy dress.
