Attention to Intention
[written for our community newsletter, with Studio Satya]
Settling in to new routines. Trusting that life will flow according to plan, and that when plans fall apart our instincts – well-tuned with practice – will guide us to enjoy calm waters again.
Setting intentions is something we do all the time as yogis, often having an opportunity to consider an intention during each class. Integrating these into our lives off the mat is part of the real practice of yoga in life. Our intention is present, with us always. When we inevitably wander off the path it gently guides us back, helping to remember our hearts. This can guide us back to paying attention to our breath, releasing tension held in the body, and purposefully choosing our next best action.
At Satya we do our best to intentionally craft the environment, uphold the teachings of yoga in an authentic way, and provide a space that allows connection within and with others. Every instructor offers intentional teachings that are true to their practice.
We trust there is a felt sense of this effort within the walls of our sanctuary – one that creates ease for the body, mind, and spirit. Thank you for trusting us. We appreciate traveling together, merrily down the stream.
